"Staying at 182 Alan Moss has been a pleasure from the very start, and there was never a doubt about extending our contract for another year. The house is comfortable, thoughtfully designed and has every commodity a student would need from their accommodation. The location is very convenient, sitting at around a 10 minute walk from the university and around 15 from the town centre which is a consistent bonus in daily life. Chris and Anne Morris have proven to be supportive and attentive to any of our requirements or questions and have created an environment that truly feels like a home. In addition, we have found the pricing to be more than reasonable and generally cannot recommend it enough." Zac, Oliver and Kesu, residents at 182 (2023-25)
“The house is a good student accommodation option, located conveniently close to campus. It is well-suited for student living, providing a comfortable and practical environment. The landlords are accommodating and friendly. They are extremely reasonable and are transparent. I am happy to have been able to live in the house over this past year.” Samuel Cobb 2024, 186 Alan Moss Rd
“I just want to say it was great staying at your house for a year. It felt like my own home! You have always helped us whenever we required your help and we are grateful for that. It was my frist time staying alone, far from my family so much appreciated your support.Thank you again for letting me stay in your beautiful house.” Tanvi Vanjara 2023
“Living at 182 Alan Moss Road was a great experience that made settling into Loughborough for my postgraduate degree a lot easier! The house itself has been kept very well, with both personal and communal rooms being of a good size and a great garden that was nice to relax in during the summer. Chris and Anne were extremely accommodating and always helped to resolve any queries as soon as possible. Situated with an easy 5 minute walk to the Students Union it made getting onto campus very accessible, as well as being located close to many shops and the town centre. It was exactly the sort of house I needed throughout my postgraduate degree and I would recommend it to anyone moving to Loughborough!.” Hannah Bashford 2022
“182 Alan Moss Road was a fantastic student house in a very convenient location for walking into the uni and getting to Lidl. The area is also very safe. The house itself was well equipped with everything you needed, and everything worked well. Similarly, the rooms were of good size and were comfortable. The bathroom was very big too and well fitted out. Furthermore, Chris and Anne were very reasonable landlords and sorted out any problems we had in good time. A big positive for me was being able to store my road bike in the outbuilding which was very secure and the parking at the front is a bonus too. I would’ve happily stayed for another year if I had needed too. A great option for those who want a slightly quieter student house..” Elliot Haigh 2022
“I really enjoyed living in 186 Alan Moss Rd. It is spacious and well maintained. The bedrooms and the living room are very nice. The kitchen is big and well equipped with modern appliances. There are 2 bathrooms in the house which is very good for 4 people. It’s very close to the University campus which was definitely a positive aspect.” Miruna Andrita 2022
“My room was spacious and the kitchen is big enough for sharing if everyone is cooking at the same time and the living room is great for gatherings or just chilling with a nice view of the garden..” Yasmin Akrofi-Rollock 2022
“Being an international student, it was difficult finding a place to live without being able to see it first, but 182 Alan Moss road exceeded my expectations! It is a clean house with a lovely back garden and Chris and Anne are very responsive and were quick to address any problems that occurred. The house is only about a 5 minute walk to the edge of campus (Northeast side) and 15 minutes to the town centre. Overall, I was happy with the time I spent in the house and I’m sure you will be too!” Sophie Bird 2021
"Thank you so much for letting your room to me. The room was perfect for what I wanted and the experience has been great." Will Hubbard 2021
"My time at 182 Alan Moss Road was a positive one. Chris and Anne were very proactive in maintaining the house (inside and out) and were very quick to respond to any queries we had. The house itself is very secure and accommodating, and in a great location too – I can’t fault it!" Joseph Watson 2020
"I enjoyed my time at 182, the house is situated in a safe and quiet location whilst still being in close proximity to both the University and town centre. There is a spacious back garden to enjoy in the summer months and adequate parking for those who have cars which is a bonus! Would highly recommend to anyone who wishes to have a peaceful stay during their postgraduate degree" Lynsey Stewart 2020
"I lived at 182 Alan Moss Road during my postgraduate studies, my housemates and I thoroughly enjoyed living there. All of the rooms are of a decent size and there’s plenty of storage for everyone. I felt right at home from day 1. If there were ever any minor issues with the house, the landlords always rectified quite rapidly. As it’s located in a residential area, it’s nice and quiet so I was able to get work done at home if needs be. This house is located in the perfect location as it’s within a 10 minute walk of supermarkets and the Loughborough University campus, and it takes about a 15 minute walk to get into the town centre. I would highly recommend this house for postgraduate students." Chloe O'Sullivan 2019
"I was in 186 for two years and my housemates and I found it great all round! As an engineering student, the longer walk to the other end of campus did seem like a downside at first, but once you know where you're going it's an easy 20 minutes; with town a shorter distance the other side it was really the ideal location for me. Our time in the house wasn't without incident, but when something did happen the landlords were more than happy to sort things out quickly and without hassle. Everything you need is included, with a good sized kitchen and a living room great for relaxing in the evenings. All in, I thoroughly recommend this house." Ryan Dashfield 2019
"I really enjoyed living at 182 Alan Moss Road. It is located in one of the greenest areas of Loughborough with a nice front- and back garden. University and the town centre are within easy walking distance. Rooms, including the bathroom and kitchen, are very spacious and there is plenty of storage space both within the house and in the out houses. The house is well looked after and the landlords respond very quickly if there are any issues. I prefer not to work from home, because I enjoy the social atmosphere on Campus, but I am sure that if you wish to do so, the house and area are quiet enough to do so. As someone new to the UK, at the time, I can definitely say that I had found a new home. I even stayed for two years!" Maud van Soest 2018
"I lived at both 182 and 186 Alan Moss Road across my first two years of PhD study, and they were both great places to live. The location is perfect, being a close walk to both the University (5 minutes) and to the town center (around 15 minutes), and of course quicker if you have a car (both houses have plenty of parking space). The houses themselves benefit from being in a quiet area, and have all the facilities needed. There is also plenty of storage space for bikes and other outdoor equipment. The gardens are very private and a nice place to sit out in summer. The bedrooms are well equipped, especially for studying, with a large desk and shelf space. Both houses have good size kitchens with plenty of cupboard and fridge space, which is essential for student living! Overall, the houses were perfect for postgraduate accommodation, and Chris and Anne were always quick to help with any issues. I’d highly recommend to any postgraduates coming to Loughborough." Josh Morton 2016
"186 Alan Moss Road is a fantastic place to live! The house is situated in a safe and quiet area of Loughborough and is close enough to University to walk to and fro. Its roughly 5 mins from the Union and 15 mins from the engineering side of campus. The town centre is about a 20 minute walk, though there is ample room for a car on the private drive to shorten this down! The house itself is kept in great order and any minor issue we had was dealt with swiftly by the landlord. The 4 bedrooms are well sized and all feature plenty of storage, living and working space. The large kitchen has more than enough cupboard and refrigerator space for everyone, as well as a washing machine and tumble dryer. As a previous tenant, I would highly recommend this house to anyone studying at Loughborough. " James Cooper 2016
"I thoroughly enjoyed my time at 186 Alan Moss Road, it's in a perfect location close to the university and union yet in a great area for postgraduates wanting a little more peace. The house offers great facilities, including a great garden for BBQ's and relaxing in the sun. The landlords make sure it is well looked after and also made my year at Loughborough less stressful, giving me the opportunity to concentrate on my studies! Would recommend to anyone." Matt Flyn
"I enjoyed living at 186 Alan Moss Road so much that I decided to stay there 2 years! It is in a very nice part of Loughborough away from the main student area, which made it a great place to live as there was no excess noise or rowdy behaviour during the night, and it is only 5 mins walk away from the union. The house itself is well looked after, all the facilities are kept in good working order and any problems are sorted out very quickly. There is also a massive garden which is brilliant for sun bathing during the summer. I would highly recommend this house to anyone!" Helen Bell
